Andrew Chisholm has owned Christie The Baker for
nearly 13 years, although the business has a long-established history in North Lanarkshire. Over this period of ownership, the bakery has progressed forward with product development by improving old and introducing new products, re-fitting the shops,and winning high accolade awards. You will find Christie the Baker shops in the high streets of Airdrie, Coatbridge, and, since May 2022,Whitburn, West Lothian. We employ over 65 local staff, some of whom have been
with the business for over 40 years, with a combined 220 years of Master Baker experience, we aim to provide "Quality baking through the generations"
At the National Bakery Awards 2023, we won "Southwest Scotland Bakery of the Year" and early 2024 we awarded ta Customer Choice Runner Up Award at the Scottish Bakers conference. We have also received the "Taste Our Best" Quality Assurance Award 24/25 from Visit Scotland for our use of Scottish suppliers, excellent finished baked products, low food miles, brilliant customer service, and local community
support.
